Fuel lines...

Right gents,
What kind of fuel lines would support 500+ponies??,we're always hearing
about this kind of mega turbo being fitted,that kind of piston/rod being installed,8000cc injectors,NOS and all the other bollox.
Strangely enough i rarely see uprated fuel lines mentioned,twin fuel pumps yes but
no info. on bigger lines,bigger barbs,unions etc,etc.
I'm utterly convinced that the O/E 'raddo's fuel line won't cut it...
What do you think?.

I guess it is down to what fuel pressure you will be running and what pressure your fuel lines are rated to,no?

I replaced the standard plastic fuel lines with this stuff - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

It feeds through the chassis rail easily and then I P clipped the hoses to the floor with plastic nuts from VW.

I don't know what power levels the standard lines can support, but I'm running a Bosch 044 (aswell as the Walbro 255lh in tank) so didn't want any restriction.

Looking on think automotives catalogue. Anything less than 8mpg would use -6 hose. Standard hose on my mk 3 is this size so would have thought this may be suitable. For less than 2MPG it says use -8.
