DIrtyTorque's odd corner.

Post by dirtytorque on Sun Oct 19, 2008 6:44 pm

Hello
Base car.

1992 Corrdo g60 in Flash( Lol) red.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

My ulitmate aim is a ghetto 2.0 litre 16vg60 build running MS.
I'm just going to add little bits each day to this thread. It will be nice to have it documented somewhere, like a diary.

MS setup:
I am running the Vanilla MS2 code.Running fuel and spark.MS is triggered off the stock digifant Hall sender trigger and uses the Onboard vb921 to fire the standard g60 coil.
No TPS,using MAPdot acceleration enrichment.Acceleration and throttle response is fine.More consistent than with Digifant.
ISV is controlled onboard too.
No closed loop idle control att,the isv is just used to introduce extra air on cold starting.
Idle is very steady. You wouldn't know it wasn't digifant.
I am currently bedding in MS on my 8v 1.8 g60.I am getting to the stage where i am happy with it.

2000g6016v Engine Build:

Base engine Audi 80 3a "Bubble block" chosen as it has the same deck height as the kr block.I am using a late Kr head as found on the 6a engines.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

As I am using an 8v bottom end the compression ratio drops by about one point as the kr head has a combustion chamber about 13cc's larger than the audi 80 head.
With the valve pockets that had to be cut to stop interfearance i should be at about 8.0:1 which gives me plenty of room for maneuver.

target this month.
Finish the tensioner setup.

Thanks for reading.
Lets see if it blows.
More soon.

What's the Vanilla MS2 code dude? Your MS hardware looks like it has a few extra internal mods?

By vanilla I just mean I am running the stock MS2 code.
Not the MSextra code.

The only mods I am running are the TPIC120/121/122 pwm mod for the bosch ISV.
I have replaced the ignition driver chip once(during fault finding when I was trying to start the car,It wasn't the issue.Rolling Eyes) and so that may be the other thing your seeing that looks foreign?!!

I just went for a drive to get some current logs to show you guys but the laptop died.
I think I need a new one. No
