I'm liking that turbo manifold, that there is some serious ingenuity!

Cheers Shaggy,it does go and will even more once the C2 is sorted Twisted Evil

The turbo.....its doing well,kind of!
When i first fitted it i did not add a restrictor to the turbo when i should have, did not realise journal bearings needed a restrictor. Just thought ball bearing types needed a restricor.

So it started to smoke on idle with the old motor,so i welded up and drilled a .60 hole as a restrictor into the feed,it stoped smoking for sometime, then i poped my motor...silly me. Embarassed

After i built my new motor and had run it in, all was still working fine, but now on random times after you switch it off after a good run out and start it back up again after say 2-5min it will puff blue.

Apart from that it works very well and i supect me over feeding it wont have helped the seals much, but for 70 quid who cares?! Laughing

tempted to buy another cheap one with the right hotside.

£70? Bloody hell, that's cheap as fook!

How would the smaller A/R on the hot-side effect the characteristics of the motor? Would it spool earlier and quicker?

Smaller snail means faster spool time.It would spool up to 300-500rpm less,as the lag is to much for me!

Its all done besides the fuel pump which should go on later this week.
So it runs the same 9psi as it did before,it does drive the same...ish but its much smoother on light crusing and has allot more low down grunt and no more pinking! no matter what throttle and rev range.

Also the rpm has been raised 500rpm more so its now at 7500rpm,as for mapping ,dont know,i suspect the ecu is a self learing, but i really dont know.

Thats why i went down this route, plug and play fun, turn the key and forget.

i will rolling raod it at some stage, not fussed as my ass tells me how much power it has.. Twisted Evil

Most of the exhaust bits are from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
