So done some more thinking and the plan is as follows...

1) Get the standard brakes bled and replace the fluid with some DOT5.1
2) Get some MT90 for the gearbox
3) Put some air in the tyres and get it down to the MOT man
4) Strip out all the unnecessary

For the near future, I've managed to source widetrack paraphernalia from Tom for a good price, just need top source some VR driveshafts. That allows me to go for some 288mm discs and calipers up front. Just need a cheap set of 5x100 alloys that I can shod with some R888 tyres. Source a oil cooler sandwich plate and cooler. Source two seats, probably from my mate at Cobra (Imola II or something like that). Find out the best course of action to get a roll-cage welded in. I'd love to do it myself, but it's the sort of thing you don't want to get wrong. Oh, and get MS on there.

Hopefully this is not just pie in the sky, but I guess we will see...

good stuff.

I just love hydraulic bleeding in a corrado.

Some say leave the ignition on some say don't.
While doing mine this week.Having the ignition on for a short while definitely helped.

Get an MOT on it my good man.

Does the ignition on business apply to non-ABS vehicles? I thought it was to ensure the ABS pump wasn't acting as a restriction?

Anybody any ideas about whether an MOT requires all the interior to be in place? Say I remove everything bar the seats, seatbelts and dashboard, will anything contravene the MOT requirements? I have a 'free' weekend at the beginning of December, that I'd like to crack on him, so didn't want to do anything that might mean I can't get an MOT.

Well, thought I'd double check nothing serious was up with Gooney before going ahead with getting him on th road, so spent this morning just running him up on the drive. Took a couple of goes to get him to stay running, but he started ok. Massively tappety for about 7 minutes or so, but then he went quiet. Ran him for about 30 minutes. Got rid of all the condensation etc from inside. Also tried my little tyre inflator I got from Tescos the other week. Did a sterling job for the princely sum of £8.66 Smile

I also gave him a quick wash too. Lots of moss growing along the roof strips and the bottoms of the windows. Had a small amount of water on the top side of the fusebox cover which is a little worrying. I suspect a slighly perished bulkhead gromit, or perhaps a poor seal at the bottom of the windscreen. It wasn't a lot, so not overly worried at the mo.

This one! Need to get him on the road, as I suspect that the VR will need the head rebuilt, as it's using a fair amount of oil at the mo!

Tubbs has done 130k though, so not a small amount of mileage. I think part of the problem is the short journeys done in her. Sub 4mile commutes don't help, I'm sure.

Looks like the O/S front tyre is shot. The sidewall is all cracked and it isn't holding air. Nanking NS-2 tyres on the front and they look new, so think I'll get away with changing just the one. £28 from Camskill too = cheap cheap.

Picking up some brake fluid today, to bleed the brakes. Eezi-bleed action later....hopefully not spraying brake fluid everywhere like I did last time Laughing

What is the normal order for bleeding the brakes??
> Cable tie the bias valve open, then O/S rear, N/S rear, O/S front, N/S front? then clutch??

I wish lol! Didn't want to drive it to MOT without insurance.

I have never driven it though, well apart from off the trailer Laughing
