If your interested in finding how your car compares to other with regards to the wheel torque. Take it over to awesome-gti near Manchester. Then you can see how it compares to all the other cars that have been on there rollers and RR days via the website. It will give you a much better idea of it's real world figures. Cost you about £60.

Hmmm, do you think something a little bigger might make the power delivery a little more progressive, or do you think the cylinder head is reaching the maximum flow it can achieve higher up the rev range?

Yeah I'll let you know. It would be good if a Corrado rolling road day could be arranged for us northerners, it would be very cool for us all to have numbers up on the awesome website. We need a CF Mod though to get behind it or it won't happen and I think they are all southerners! Laughing

Do you mean a bigger turbot? Yes but then as it comes on boost and ramps the power up steeply i will have the same problem just further up the rev range + not much room to install another turbo behind there unless i go cross flow and/or external wastegate, already have the largest VF series turbot lol.

Not sure what you mean regarding the head flow?

I know its full of fairies.

Still need to sort the geometry out.

When my car failed its MOT in march he said front brake lines corroded to excess, now would that be the braided fittings on the end or the actual lines from the braided into the engine bay, not sure what myself as they look good to me, and if i painted them in underseal is that a fail?

Just wire brush them and paint them. Unless they are really corroded and dangerous.

Aye, bigger turbot. But you wont necessarily have the same problem as you do now, as a bigger turbo would spool more slowly and less aggressively (maybe).

As far as head flow is concerned, from what I can gather any particular head will have a maximum flow rate, and I'm wondering if you have reached the limit of yours??

Yes i have reached the limit of the head, also the turbo i have on a 20vt is capable of 350+ depending how hard you want to push it so obviously my turbot can flow more than the head can take as it only does 300, i thought you were asking in a way to do with traction initially lol.

If im going bigger turbot which i am at some point it will be on a 20vt.

Oh yes with half a bar of boost [turned down to low] it still spins.

Full boost = no chance of grip.
